Pridestaff is currently seeking a Material Handler/Forklift Operator for a steel manufacturing company located in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. This is a full-time, contract to permanent position with opportunity to grow. Please see job requirements below to be considered. Pay Rate: $18-19 Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:30am to 3pm Job Duties : Assist the shipping coordinator with various tasks during the shipping process, such as gathering parts and assemblies and using the InfoSpring tank load builder (shipping app) to create pallets for easier QA tracking, wrapping pallets and transporting materials from one warehouse to another. Roles and responsibilities: Support the shipment of goods produced to aid in the production/storage of goods destined for sale to our customer base. Responsible for aiding the final inspector, to ensure product quantities and part numbers match as specified on the job number and drawings and the shipping list. Must report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor. Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times. Required to forward a requisition for shipping materials to the Department Supervisor for approval. Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations. General coordination of parts to be cleaned in preparation for coating processes. (Grinding area) Capable of being part of the internal auditor’s team. Perform Inventory and Cycle Counting. Replenish materials for the various departments throughout the shift. Physical Demands: Physical ability to stand for a significant period of time and walk continuously. Physical ability to occasionally bend, kneel, crouch, reach, or crawl. Able to lift up to 50lbs Job Requirements: Must have at least 6 months to 1 year of Warehousing and Forklift experience. Must be able to operate a propane sit-down forklift safely. Ability to work outside yard to load and unload when needed. May assistant in loading and unloading truck deliveries/pick-up. Ability to utilize computer and related industry software. Must have Inventory and Cycle counting experience. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job. Must have and wear steel toe shoes or boots or composite shoes throughout shift as well as assigned PPE (Ear plugs, safety glasses, etc.) Must be willing to submit to a drug test and criminal background check prior to start.
