Find your story in our books! Art & Design Designing books-covers, jackets, and interiors-is a collaborative effort. The staff reviews the book and meets with the editor and marketing department to create a visual-packaging direction and oversee its implementation to both represent the book's essence and attract the target audience. Some responsibilities may include creating covers and interior designs for each book, setting up hardcover and paperback mechanicals, Image research, type research, Illustrator research and creating social media assets. INTERNSHIP PROGRAM DETAILS Penguin Random House offers a 10-week PAID, REMOTE internship opportunity available in our adult, children's, and corporate divisions. Interns are exposed to the publishing process and our business through panels, networking events, and employee speaker series! Summer interns work for 28 hours per week and are paid $20/hour. What you study does not matter! We are looking for your desire to work with books, your drive to learn and your curiosity for the publishing industry. Application Deadline: October 20th 2023 at 11:59pm EST Program Dates: June 3, 2024 - August 9, 2024 REQUIREMENTS & ELIGIBILITY • Must be ready to work full-time on or before June 2024 (You do not need to be enrolled in college or have a degree to apply to our internship program). • Able to work 28 hours/week throughout the program • Available and commit to the program working June 3, 2024 - August 9, 2024 • Must reside in the U.S. for the duration of the internship program • Must be over the age of 18 TO APPLY: Please submit your resume, cover letter and portfolio using our online application process.
