25-26 AY Temporary Faculty Pool (Lecturer) - Linguistics
California State University, Fresno is seeking temporary faculty members for the Linguistics department. The successful applicants will be responsible for teaching courses in Chinese, Hmong, Japanese, and Linguistics, as well as high enrollment general education courses. Responsibilities Teach Chinese, Hmong, Japanese, English 5A, English 5B, English 10 or Linguistics courses, as well as high enrollment general education courses Prepare, deliver, conduct, proctor, and grade lectures, office hours, homework assignments, quizzes, class projects, and midterm and final exams Adhere to and implement university and system-wide policies as directed per Academic Policy Manual 306, paragraph 2 Ensure all classes are offered and meet as scheduled throughout the entire semester, in the mode assigned and listed in the schedule of classes (i.e. asynchronous, synchronous, in-person, or hybrid) Skills A Master's degree in one of the following: Linguistics or English or Teaching English as a Second Language or other similar field or applicable foreign language area Demonstrated commitment to excellence built on merit, talent, diversity, accessibility, and equal opportunity for all Appointees will be required to demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States A commitment to teaching excellence at the undergraduate level, which may be exhibited through prior teaching experiences and teaching evaluations or other evidence Successful teaching experience at the undergraduate level Company Overview Waco Tribune-Herald is a newspapers company that offers news, entertainment, and sports updates In Texas.
