3D Artist Needed for Photorealistic Sofa Renders - Contract to Hire
We are looking for a dedicated 3D visualization partner to produce a high-quality asset library for our sofa catalog. We value long-term relationships and are looking for a professional who combines artistic realism with technical efficiency. We have a collection of modular sofas that requires a structured set of 3D assets. 20 Base Models: Unique core designs. ~70 Configurations: Specific variations derived from the base models (e.g., changing dimensions, swapping armrests, adding pillows). - 15 Fabrics each in 10 Colors We believe in a transparent and efficient workflow. Here is how we approach this project: We specifically look for partners who utilize smart workflow automation (batch rendering, script-based material swapping) to handle the bulk application of fabrics and colors. Structured Onboarding: We do not believe in unpaid tests. To ensure our standards align, we will start with a Paid Pilot (1 Base Model + 1 Variation) before unlocking the full scope of work. Clear Communication: We provide detailed briefs for every model. In return, we expect proactive updates and questions if any technical challenges arise regarding the internal mechanisms. Specific Deliverables The Models: 20 Base Models + approx. 70 Variations. Visual Quality: 100% Photorealistic lighting and texturing (Studio setup). Functionality: For models with sleep/storage functions, the geometry must be mechanically accurate to allow the model to be "opened" or "lifted" without mesh clipping. Source Files: Delivery of all native files (e.g., .max, .blend) and textures upon completion. The Skills We Are Looking For Expert Hard Surface Modeling: Specifically in soft furniture (fabric wrinkles, seams, piping). Technical Precision: Ability to model internal mechanisms (hinges, frames) accurately. Pipeline Management: Experience handling large asset libraries and bulk-rendering workflows. Texture Mapping: Advanced knowledge of UV mapping for complex patterns to ensure fabrics flow naturally over curves and seams. Application Process To help us review your application efficiently, please include: Relevant Portfolio: Links to furniture renderings (specifically sofas/fabric details). Workflow Approach: Briefly mention how you handle bulk variations and material swaps—we want to know that you have an efficient pipeline. Team Structure: Are you working solo or with a team? Timeline: An estimated timeframe for a project of this scale. Apply tot his job
