3rd Shift Patching Specialist

Responsibilities: Sentinel Technologies is seeking a Patching Specialist for its nationally recognized IT support team. In this role you will be working with customers and vendors to deliver effective patching solutions and support. When you are not fulfilling patching needs you will leverage your experience supporting our help desk team managing tickets through ServiceNow. Your effective communication skills will lay the path to building and fostering relationships with customers reliant on highly available and secure systems. This is a full-time direct hire position with 3rd shift hours Thursday-Monday from 7pm-4am CST. What You'll Do: • Patch Deployment & Management – Manage the end-to-end patching process for servers and workstations for our customers. • Monitoring & Compliance – Regularly assess patch compliance and address vulnerabilities to maintain system integrity. • Troubleshooting & Support – Investigate patching failures, resolve patching and customer technical issues, and collaborate with teams to ensure smooth deployments. • Case Management – Document patching activities, maintain accurate records, and update status reports in the case management system. • Automation & Efficiency – Leverage tools and scripts to streamline patch deployment and improve operational efficiency. • Security & Best Practices – Stay updated on industry trends, participate in security training, and follow best practices for risk mitigation. Qualifications: • 3+ years’ experience in an IT support Help Desk related role is required • Experience troubleshooting technical issues as it relates to patching and support issues • Ability to work a 3rd shift schedule of Thursday-Monday from 7pm-4am. • Working knowledge of SCCM, InTune, Kaseya, WSUS • Experience with Microsoft Office, Office 365 and M365 • Experience with Windows, Linux, and Azure Systems • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, or KVM, including deployment, management, and troubleshooting of virtualized environments. • Experience with DNS and DHCP • Basic networking skills and remote imaging • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a plus • Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship • Must demonstrate a “can-do” attitude We focus on candidates that display our “ACE” factor – Attitude, Compassion, and Enthusiasm to deliver quality solutions with exceptional customer service.
