This position uses various technology tools to thrive in a remote environment. Communication, knowledge of software and zoom meetings are expected in this position. FreshEye innovative Solutions has positions available to join our team. This is the perfect position for someone who is a CPA, retired CPA, or someone who is interested in managing their own schedule and has bookkeeping/accounting credentials. Prior experience of 10 years or more is a must. Only serious and eligible candidates should apply. This position is for someone who is available 20-30 hours per week, Monday - Friday during normal working business hours (9am - 5pm). Remote client meetings (via Zoom) and prompt response are a requirement of this position. We will provide the tools and structure needed to perform the job, as well as a supportive team atmosphere. There is plenty of opportunity for growth for the right candidate. Job Duties & Responsibilities include: • Ability to work on multiple clients in various industries including wineries, breweries, general contractors, service industries, aging care facilities, non-profits, health care and more. Ability to multi-task and respond to client requests and needs in a timely manner. • Process accounts payable utilizing third party billing system, Bill.com, for multiple clients, manage approvals and pay bills timely, in addition to monitoring cash flow. Includes entering the bills, obtaining client approval and processing payment. • Process and manage accounts receivable for multiple clients. Responsible for invoicing, collections, and following up on past due balances. • Responsible for the monthly close procedures, recording monthly closing journal entries, and reconciliations of bank and credit card for multiple clients • Prepare monthly reports for Sales & Use Tax, Liter Tax, and other reports as needed. • Meet with certain clients on a monthly basis or as needed, via Zoom, to review transactions and to answer any questions or concerns they might have. • Producing ad hoc financial reports, as well as regular weekly and monthly financial reports. Assist with preparation of financial reports, as well as meet with clients to analyze and explain financial reports. • Possess an understanding of local and multi-state payroll. Process and review payroll with the client, as well as associated deductions for 401k, Health Insurance, Dental, and Life Insurance to ensure accuracy and reporting utilizing third party payroll platforms (ADP, PayChex, Gusto, or QuickBooks Online Payroll) • Processing and recording S-Corp Health Insurance Premiums • Assist with tax preparation at year-end, 1099 preparation, record year-end adjustments, review W2s and prepare reports for CPAs Qualifications: • Must be proactive with an extreme attention to detail. • Knowledge of GAAP • CPA credentials (desired, but not required) • Ability to work with multiple technology platforms and willing to learn new systems. • Must have excellent customer service, e-mail and telephone skills. • Must be able to multi-task, manage priorities and workflow, and have the ability to follow through on projects with minimal supervision. • A passion for small to medium sized businesses to help clients balance their books, business and life through their business enterprises. • Must demonstrate strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills. • Professional, demeanor, and enthusiasm. • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm. • Highly dependable. • Must be technology savvy with familiarity with QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, Microsoft Office and Bill.com is a plus. • Strong team player with a demonstrated ability to work well with others in a fun and fast paced environment. • Possesses a strong work ethic with high standards of personal integrity. • Strong computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. • Minimum of ten years prior, accounting experience required. • Auditing ability a plus!
