Accounts Receivable Specialist
1-800-Flowers.com is looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Finance team. This role plays a key part in supporting healthy cash flow and strong customer relationships by owning the full Accounts Receivable lifecycle—from billing and cash application to collections and dispute resolution. Responsibilities Generate and distribute customer invoices, statements, and dunning letters Apply cash receipts and credit card payments accurately and on time Monitor AR aging and proactively follow up on past-due balances Conduct collection outreach while maintaining positive customer relationships Investigate billing discrepancies and resolve customer disputes Support AR reporting and month-end close activities Partner with Sales, Customer Service, and Finance to resolve account issues Identify opportunities to improve AR processes and workflows Skills Previous experience in Accounts Receivable or a similar accounting role Strong attention to detail with solid organizational skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams High school diploma or GED required Bachelor's degree preferred Experience with Oracle and procurement platforms (Ariba, Coupa, DSSI) Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills Experience in a high-volume or complex AR environment Benefits Medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance for the associate and family (if applicable) Flexible Spending Account Health Savings Account 401k retirement program Mental health resources/ Employee Assistance Program 80 hours of paid vacation time (accrued on an hourly basis) 9 paid holidays 30% employee discount across our family of brands Potential eligibility for annual merit-based wage increase, if applicable Company Overview 1-800-FLOWERS.COM, Inc.
