Job Summary We're seeking an exceptional Activities Director - Salus Coach to join our team! As a Salus Coach, you'll be responsible for maintaining and organizing a diversified program of individual and group activities that cater to the cultural, spiritual, physical, social, and intellectual needs of our residents. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement a comprehensive activity program that meets the diverse needs of our residents, including cultural, spiritual, physical, social, and intellectual activities. Conduct quarterly resident surveys to evaluate current activities and suggest new ones that align with their interests and preferences. Prepare a Schedule of Activities one month in advance, reviewing and amending it as necessary to reflect changes. Possess computer skills to create calendars online/electronically and maintain accurate records of resident activities. Drive the van for outings and events, ensuring the safe transportation of residents. Maintain a Resident Birthday List and mail birthday cards to residents in a timely manner. Collaborate with community team members to coordinate activities/programs and participate in care planning for residents. Post the current monthly, weekly, and daily Schedule of Activities in public areas and at the nursing station. Attend monthly resident meetings with the General Manager and work on proposed agendas. Manage team members and volunteers, providing guidance and support as needed. Participate in budgeting and meet monthly budget targets, discussing any variances with the General Manager. Requirements and Qualifications Education and Experience Associate degree from an accredited college or university, or proof of satisfactory completion of two years of college, with a major course of study in recreation or a related field. Two years of full-time experience in the recreation field, preferably in a senior adult population. Skills and Competencies Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills. Basic typing skills and computer knowledge, including familiarity with MS Word and other pertinent software. Physically able to bend, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 40-50 pounds if necessary. Physically able to stand for extended periods. State driver's license required with a clean driving record.
