Job Description: Norwich University's College of Graduate & Continuing Studies seeks individuals qualified to develop and/or teach online asynchronous master's-level courses in history. The program offers small class sizes tailored to the needs of adult learners and places great emphasis on a positive student experience and high student achievements. The teaching of courses and periodic updating of course content is particularly needed in the following areas: • American Colonial, Revolutionary, and Early National History • Nineteenth Century American History • World History - all eras • Chinese Military History • Non-Western Military History Faculty may also be called upon to direct student historiographical reading, research, or internships for student capstone papers and projects. Course development and adjunct teaching are performed on a contract basis. Norwich provides training to new course developers and adjunct instructors. Course developers work as part of a team that includes instructional designers, media specialists, digital librarians, and academic program leaders.
