AI Engineering Intern

They are seeking a motivated AI Engineer Intern to develop and implement AI solutions that can scale and drive real-world impact, providing hands-on experience in AI engineering. Responsibilities Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to understand business challenges and translate them into technical AI solutions Design and develop scalable AI solutions that integrate with our existing products and services Build interactive demos and proof-of-concept applications to showcase AI solutions and their potential business impact Contribute to the evaluation and integration of new AI technologies and tools into our tech stack Leverage Azure AI services including Azure OpenAI Service, Azure Search, and other Azure services for developing and deploying AI solutions Thoroughly document and manage project requirements, data, and technical details to ensure continuity and reference for future projects Skills Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related technical field Strong programming skills in Python with knowledge of software development best practices and design patterns Strong problem solving, strong conceptual thinking, and effective communication skills Basic understanding of Natural Language Processing (NLP) concepts and experience with transformer-based models is a plus Experience with large language models (LLMs), LangChain, and prompt engineering is a plus Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Azure AI services and Azure ML Benefits Flexible and generous paid time off Competitive medical, dental, vision and life insurance 401(k) employer matching program Parental leave Wellness resources Charitable matching program On-site workout facilities (Leawood, Gilbert, Burlington) Community outreach groups Tuition reimbursement Company Overview At Ascend develop industry-leading online learning tools that help people enter, sustain and succeed in their careers.
