AI Lease Portfolio Manager
About the position The AI Lease Portfolio Manager at Microsoft is responsible for tracking, monitoring, supporting, and providing reporting on the Datacenter Integration (DCI) AI Regional Portfolio. This role encompasses both lease and build projects, requiring strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. The position demands a self-directed individual with a robust background in Data Center engineering, operational requirements, and project/construction management, along with experience in the Data Center lease market and client representation. Responsibilities • Advising at a strategic level on different approaches to achieve the team's overall objectives. • Leading the establishment of success criteria for the portfolio, including time, cost, technical, and performance parameters. • Planning for the ongoing management of quality, safety, health, and environment issues. • Establishing effective project and program governance, processes, and systems. • Identifying improvements for program management products and services. • Designing and delivering change and transformation projects to support delivery teams. • Managing the change control process. • Developing and managing efficient data collection and benchmarking. • Advising and supporting risk identification and management across the portfolio. • Planning projects and programs, ensuring detailed plans are produced. • Advising on resource procurement. • Facilitating coordination between cross-functional project and program teams. • Monitoring and applying performance management techniques, including KPIs and OKRs. • Monitoring project and program finances. • Managing project information flow between the team and key partners through regular meetings and communications. • Assisting with project progress reporting regarding scope, schedule, standards, and budget. Requirements • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND 12+ years related experience OR equivalent experience. • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements. Nice-to-haves • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND 15+ years related experience OR equivalent experience. • 15+ years experience working on data center projects. • Client and/or Contractor side onsite Datacentre construction or project management experience. • Self-starter with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines simultaneously. • Experience managing large scale enterprise projects with both localized and virtual teams. • Cross-group collaborator and influencer across teams and organizations.
