TD is one of the world's leading global financial institutions, and they are seeking an AI2 Software Engineer Intern for the summer of 2026. The role involves supporting the development and maintenance of web applications, contributing to both front-end and back-end features while gaining exposure to the full software development lifecycle. Responsibilities Assisting in the development of user interfaces and interactive features using modern front-end technologies (e.g., Vue.js) Supporting the design and implementation of server-side solutions and RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI Helping to design and optimize database schemas, and writing queries for data retrieval and manipulation Collaborating with team members to integrate front-end and back-end components within the overall system architecture Participating in code reviews, documentation, and technical discussions to learn best practices and improve code quality Staying informed about current trends in web development and contributing ideas for continuous improvement Maintaining documentation for code, APIs, and technical specifications Skills Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with the intent to return to school after the internship Basic proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and at least one back-end language Familiarity with front-end frameworks (e.g., Vue.js) and back-end frameworks (e.g., FastAPI) Understanding of RESTful APIs and how to consume or build them in web applications Exposure to version control systems (e.g., Git) Willingness to learn and take initiative in a fast-paced, agile environment Good problem-solving and debugging skills Strong communication and collaboration abilities Experience with personal projects, coursework, or previous internships in web development is considered an asset Benefits Health and well-being benefits Savings and retirement programs Paid time off Banking benefits and discounts Career development Reward and recognition programs Company Overview The Toronto-Dominion Bank & its subsidiaries are collectively known as TD Bank Group (TD).
