Analytics Engineer (Snowflake / SQL / E-Commerce Data)

Overview Goodr is a fast-growing e-commerce retail company specializing in sunglasses and multi-channel sales (Shopify DTC, Amazon, TikTok Shop, B2B). We are expanding our data capabilities and seeking an experienced Analytics Engineer to support SQL development and data modeling within our Snowflake-based data warehouse, orchestrated through Mozart. This role focuses on building clean, reliable, analytics-ready datasets used by teams across finance, operations, marketing, and supply chain. Key Responsibilities Develop performant, well-structured SQL queries for transforming raw e-commerce data into curated tables and views. Build and maintain data models in Mozart/Snowflake following best practices ( tested, documented). Collaborate with our Systems/Data teams to understand business rules, upstream data sources, and downstream reporting needs. Improve data quality by identifying anomalies, managing schema changes, and implementing tests or integrity checks. Optimize query performance and warehouse compute usage (clustering, partitioning, best-practice SQL patterns). Required Skills & Experience Strong proficiency in SQL with a track record of building complex transformations, CTE-based models, aggregation layers, and analytics-ready views. Professional experience working with Snowflake Familiarity with ELT/ETL development and analytics engineering frameworks. Experience with e-commerce datasets, especially Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, TikTok Shop, returns systems, 3PL integrations, or order/inventory/fulfillment schemas. Ability to read existing SQL pipelines and improve/refactor them. Strong documentation habits and clear communication. Ability to work independently and deliver reliable, production-ready code. Nice-to-Have Experience Experience using Mozart as an orchestration or workflow tool. Fivetran or similar ingestion pipelines. Exposure to NetSuite, SPS, Stord, AfterShip, and other common commerce-operations systems. Familiarity with Tableau or downstream BI consumption use cases. Engagement Details Remote, asynchronous work. Hourly or fixed-price depending on project scope. Must be able to communicate clearly in English and provide regular updates.
