Application Analyst I

The Application Analyst I is responsible for supporting the design and build of designated applications, focusing on workflows, system configurations, and operational support, while also assisting end users and coordinating support activities. Responsibilities The Application Analyst I is the primary support for the assigned application(s). In addition to the duties discussed in the Role Description, the Application Analyst I is responsible for the following: Executing Application Design and Build: Designing and building functionality within ServiceNow HAM Pro, including asset models, lifecycles, workflows, and UI configurations Utilizes external resources and ServiceNow best practices to guide configuration and solution development Performing a thorough review of foundational data (e.g., model categories, asset states) and operational requests to ensure accuracy and alignment with asset lifecycle workflows Participating in unit, application, and integrated testing for implementation, upgrade, and HAM Pro enhancement system functionality Building data fields, forms, templates, and customer-defined functionality as required for HAM Pro Reviewing the proposed training content alongside ITAM and ServiceNow teams to ensure alignment with current functionality Following build standards and maintaining synchronization between environments in collaboration with the ServiceNow Platform team Working with ITAM Operations and other stakeholders to optimize the design and performance of HAM Pro capabilities and asset-related workflows Application Support: Providing go-live support to end users and stakeholders during initial deployment and enhancement of HAM Pro features Delivering on-call support for HAM Pro throughout go-live and post-go-live stabilization Representing the HAM Pro application in cross-functional workgroups (e.g., ITAM governance, CMDB alignment, procurement and inventory discussions) Supporting ongoing documentation of all system modifications, enhancements, and updates for HAM Pro Documentation and Communication: Maintaining clear and consistent ticket communication with requesters; ensuring incident, catalog, and enhancement tickets are documented accurately and closed with detailed resolution notes Proactively contacting users as needed to communicate ticket status or resolve outstanding requests Logging decisions, issues, and risks related to HAM Pro design and implementation in designated tracking tools Supporting application governance processes, including contributing to business cases and analysis for system decisions Maintaining version control over workflows, decision logs, and risk registers related to HAM Pro configurations Monitoring and escalating issues or roadblocks as appropriate Communicating with senior analysts and leadership to determine the appropriate escalation paths Project Management: Recommending opportunities for process improvement in IT asset management operations and ServiceNow HAM Pro usage Assisting in the development of future state documentation, including workflows and asset lifecycle definitions Following standard processes for issue identification, tracking, resolution, and closure throughout projects Adhering to change control procedures when implementing any modifications or enhancements to HAM Pro Developing and executing test scripts for new HAM Pro functionality, version upgrades, and system changes Skills Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience 2 or more years of relevant work experience 0-2 years relevant experience in a health care setting Demonstrated interest in supporting the development and build of the application Able to perform with supervision Obtaining applicable certification is an expectation of the role as applicable; 0-2 years preferred experience Applicant is expected to maintain certification as current by completing New Version Training (NVT), as applicable For certain clinical applications, clinical licensure is preferred and may be required as specified in Job Aid Adaptability/flexibility: demonstrating flexibility with respect to changing end-user business needs Critical thinking: the ability and willingness to see things in an open-minded way and examine an idea or concept from as many angles as possible Dependability: the ability and willingness to take ownership of work activities and ensure that they are completed in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.
