About the Position: The Bureau of Technology Services (BTS) is seeking a talented and motivated Applications Analyst with the passion for solving complex technical challenges to be part of our Public Safety Applications Development Team at Portland Fire & Rescue. This position will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality desktop, web and mobile software applications using Microsoft Technologies. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain software applications using Microsoft Technologies such as .NET, C#, ASP.NET Core, Blazor, and MAUI. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features. Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for software applications. Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation. Create and maintain technical documentation. Support 3rd party and legacy applications. The successful candidate must be able to pass a comprehensive police background investigation and be able to work in a culturally and gender diverse workplace. Questions? Experience building line of business applications. Strong understanding of object-oriented programming. Experience with web development and RESTful APIs. Experience with DevOps practices and tools such as AzureDevOps. Applicants must also possess: Ability to pass a comprehensive police background investigation. Although not required, you may have: Experience creating reports using Crystal Reports Knowledge of Microsoft Visual Basic 6 (VB6) and Microsoft Windows Presentation Framework (WPF) A review of your eligibility will be conducted and validated.
