Arista Cloud Engineer (Consulting Contractor – ACE Level 4 or Above) Location: Remote Contract Type: Consulting / 1099 or Corp-to-Corp Duration: Variable Experience Level: Senior (8+ years hands-on) Certification Required: Arista Certified Engineer (ACE) Level 4 or higher Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Arista Cloud Engineer for enterprise and cloud infrastructure engagements. The ideal consultant will bring deep, hands-on experience designing, implementing, and automating Arista EOS- and CloudVision-based networks in both on-prem and hybrid cloud environments. This role involves leading client implementations, driving network modernization initiatives, and developing scalable automation frameworks. The engineer should be comfortable working independently in client environments, translating business needs into technical solutions, and mentoring internal teams during project delivery. Key Responsibilities • Client Delivery & Architecture • Lead the design, deployment, and optimization of Arista-based data center and cloud network architectures. • Assess client environments and develop migration or modernization roadmaps aligned with business goals. • Implementation & Automation • Configure and automate Arista EOS and CloudVision Portal (CVP) using Ansible, Python, and CVP APIs. • Deliver automation scripts, templates, and workflows to standardize client network operations. • Integration & Cloud Enablement • Integrate Arista CloudEOS with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for hybrid or multi-cloud connectivity. • Implement and validate VXLAN/EVPN overlays, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and secure interconnects. • Operational Readiness & Knowledge Transfer • Provide advanced troubleshooting, documentation, and post-deployment validation. • Conduct hands-on knowledge transfer (KT) sessions to upskill client teams on Arista operations, automation, and best practices. • Consulting & Advisory • Serve as a technical advisor on Arista networking strategy, automation design, and architecture standards. • Collaborate with client infrastructure, DevOps, and cloud architects to align network automation with overall platform initiatives. Required Qualifications • Certification: Arista Certified Engineer (ACE) Level 4 or higher (Level 5 preferred). • Experience: 8+ years of hands-on network engineering experience, including 5+ years in Arista environments. • Technical Proficiency: • Expert in Arista EOS, CloudVision Portal (CVP), and CloudEOS. • Deep knowledge of VXLAN, EVPN, BGP, OSPF, and automation frameworks. • Strong scripting and automation background with Python, Ansible, and REST APIs. • Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, and infrastructure-as-code methodologies. • Experience deploying and supporting multi-tenant, scalable, and secure cloud network architectures. • Soft Skills: • Strong client-facing communication and presentation abilities. • Capable of working independently and leading technical delivery. • Proven ability to document solutions and train client engineering teams. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with network observability, DANZ telemetry, and network analytics. • Knowledge of containerized environments (Kubernetes, Docker, CNI). • Familiarity with multi-vendor interoperability (Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto). • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
