Assistant Editor
The Role: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Editor to support our creative editorial teams. This role is essential to the smooth operation of post-production workflows and requires strong organizational skills, technical proficiency in Premiere Pro, and excellent communication. The ideal candidate is proactive, reliable, and eager to grow while maintaining high technical and organizational standards in a fast-paced creative environment. Key Responsibilities: Downloading and uploading media via client-approved platforms Manage and log incoming and outgoing hard drives to and from clients and production team Organizing media and maintaining consistent folder structures on shared servers Importing and preparing media in Premiere Pro projects and notifying creative teams when assets are ready Flagging potential issues with media and / or projects to Post Team Creating and QCing shot and dialogue lists / requests, scripts, captions, and other necessary documents. Editing selects pulls, stringouts, and assemblies as requested Prepare spots for in house finishing: Overcut picture & audio, upres picture, cut in final graphics and mix Create finish preps for turnover to finishing vendors consistent with client provided specs Troubleshooting issues with media, Premiere, etc. Performing quality control on picture, audio, graphics, and text for accuracy and technical compliance Working closely with Editors, Producers, and Post team members to support creative workflows Maintaining clear communication on task status and deliverables Identifying opportunities to improve workflows and processes Qualifications & Skills: Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro Basic proficiency in Avid Media Composer and DaVinci Resolve Strong understanding of media organization, codecs, frame rates, and workflows Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong written communication skills, including grammar and proofreading Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Dependable, collaborative, and positive team-oriented mindset Experience working in trailer, TV, or streaming marketing environments Interest in creative editorial growth (reel submission encouraged) Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with Editors, Producers, and Post teams Adaptability to evolving technology, workflows, and creative demands Professional discretion and respect for confidential materials A passion for storytelling and entertainment marketing Reference: ECNJOBID-162-158-79-49 in the application
