Associate Cybersecurity Engineer, Python Development

About the position Visa's Cyber Product Development team is looking for a DevSecOps focused Software engineer with a passion for GenAI/Agentic development, Open source & Automation solutioning, and desire to apply development skills to solve problems via and integrated approach. You will be responsible for working with stakeholders to collect detailed requirements and develop solutions through coding to further Cyber Security initiatives. In this position, you are a passionate and talented engineer/developer who will independently drive deliverables and utilize complex problem-solving abilities and coding/testing/debugging skills within a team environment. You must be dedicated to working with stakeholders, adhering to timelines & delivering production-ready code in short time frames and willing to go beyond the routine. Responsibilities • Python based development of agentic code within frameworks using mainstream agentic libraries & design patterns. • Development of customized code to integrate to REST interfaces, Database & other web services/data stores & integrate seamlessly with ITIL ticketing systems and JIRA/Atlassian frameworks. • Python based development of code to implement detailed orchestration & business logic use cases that interact with multiple mission critical systems. • Building production ready Python based solutions in IBM Resilient SOAR, Splunk Phantom SOAR to create automated functionality for end users. • Developing in Python using source control technologies & GenAI Coding support tools. • Utilizing SQL & Elastic Stack/Lucene based solutions to manipulate data & perform large scale data analysis on customized data sets. • Develop innovative solutions to protect the Visa brand, networks, assets and products by implementing state-the-art detection, prevention, and response capabilities. • Design, engineer, operationalize solutions via continuous deployment/integration best practices with strong focus towards reduced manual work & automated quality assurance. • Work directly with stakeholders and customers to collect, document and iterate through all phases of requirements, design & delivery. • Adhere to JIRA based project management methods. • Ability to create & continuously keep documentation up to date. Requirements • Bachelor's degree, OR 3+ years of relevant work experience. • Minimum 1 year of experience in designing, coding & maintaining enterprise infrastructure solutions in a Python code base. • Strong understanding of Cybersecurity concepts. • Agentic Design Patterns & Methods - using Generative AI models via function calling, specialized prompting. • Strong Linux and systems engineering knowledge. • Expert level experience with Python and Python web frameworks. • Experience with Web Front End technologies such as Django/Angular/React and/or Java Script. • Experience with Configuration management tools such as Git/Ansible/Salt stack/Chef/Puppet/Jenkins. • Hands on experience as SCRUM/Agile process. • Experience in Project life cycle activities on development and maintenance projects including CI/CD and tools development. • Strong customer centric mindset. • Proactive sense of urgency and 'can do' attitude. • Strategic thinker who can balance big picture strategy with detailed, flawless execution. • Excellent communication skills. • Excellent team player. Nice-to-haves • Financial services and card payments experience. • CISSP, CISA, SANS GPEN, SANS GXPN, SANS GIAC, SANS GREM, OSCP (Offensive Security Certified Professional) is a plus. • IBM Resilient or Splunk Phantom Experience. • Security Background in Enterprise systems (Imperva WAF, RiskIQ, Checkpoint/PaloAlto Firewalls, Tufin, OsQuery, Tanium, Cloudflare). • SOC/Incident Response Experience. • Service Now Experience.
