Associate Engineer

The associate engineer will coordinate and maintain automated investment processes, providing technical support and collaborating with various teams to enhance production processes. Responsibilities Control-M Scheduling: Establish and enforce standards within the Control-M scheduling software Model/Sim Integration: Deploy new models and simulators into the production environment Production Monitoring: Oversee the production environment, debugging real-time issues across various technology components and applications to resolve problems quickly and efficiently Sprint Collaboration: Participate in weekly sprints to prioritize and assign case work, including schedule, data, and code changes Schedule Coordination: Work with developers to align schedule changes with code modifications Communication: Effective communication with the business and investment personnel regarding production timing, potential delays and task coordination Incident Management: Track and manage production incidents, coordinating with necessary teams, documenting updates and progress, whilst assisting with triaging Change Management: Adhere to change management protocols to review, test, and implement changes Release Management: Execute the weekly release process, transitioning code changes from staging to production Process Improvement: Recommend and lead the implementation of workflow enhancements Project Management: Work on case-based projects focused on production maintenance, process improvements, and addressing business needs On-Call Duties: Ability and willingness to perform on-call responsibilities on a weekly rotation, including nights and weekends Skills Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Strong technical/computer knowledge Experience operating in Unix or Linux environments Knowledge of SQL and/or Python programming Highly self-motivated and able to work independently and collaboratively with teams Innovative and creative in solving technical problems Process-oriented with multiple troubleshooting techniques Careful attention to detail to ensure accurate diagnosis and resolution of issues Adaptable to changing conditions, processes and procedures Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently, handling multiple support tickets simultaneously Ability to apply knowledge to develop solutions for new and unfamiliar problems Degree in computer science or related STEM field Experience in a production deadline environment Experience with scheduling tools such as Control-M Experience with source control tools and coordinating code changes Understanding of incident management frameworks and best practices Understanding of finance or investment principles Solid understanding of relational database concepts Benefits Competitive holiday entitlements Pension/401k Life and long-term disability coverage Group sick pay Enhanced parental leave Long-service leave Private medical coverage Discounted gym membership options Pet insurance Company Overview Man Group is a global alternative investment management firm focused on pursuing outperformance for sophisticated clients via our Systematic, Discretionary and Solutions offerings.
