Audit Associate (Software Finance focus)
About the position Responsibilities • Identify key risks in Siemens's operational and financial environment and develop a deep understanding of business processes, goals, and strategies to provide insightful analysis and interpretation to management. • Design and execute comprehensive audits, particularly for global software and technology businesses, addressing identified risks and ensuring alignment with business objectives. • Independently drive assurance objectives, define and align conclusions, and recommend improvements to influence organizational change. • Foster innovation by developing and promoting digital use cases in collaboration with our data analytics team to increase coverage and overall assurance. • Participate in meetings with Senior Management, driving discussions on audit observations, conclusions, and next steps. • Stay current on regulatory requirements and industry trends Requirements • 5 to 7 years of relevant experience with a proven track record in a software/technology company or 4+ years servicing software clients in a Big 4 accounting firm. • 5 to 7 years of experience with various software business models (e.g., Subscription, SaaS) • 5 to 7 years of experience with FP&A, Controlling, and Sales Finance within a software environment. • BS/BA degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Fluent in English (speaking, writing, comprehension). • Must reside in the Iselin, New Jersey, or Plano, TX area as this is a hybrid work environment. • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of the time. Nice-to-haves • An MBA, CPA, CIA, ACCA, ACA or PMP qualification is highly desirable. • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and data analysis skills. • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI is a plus. • Fluency in other languages along with English. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present recommendations to senior management. • Ability to thrive in a high-growth, fast-paced environment, often managing multiple projects simultaneously. • Strong understanding of business processes, especially those related to technology companies.
