Automation Tester - Journeyman

About the position We are seeking a Journeyman Automation Tester to support the testing of enterprise software changes in a secure, Agile environment. This role involves executing automated test scripts, validating system functionality, and documenting results to ensure high-quality software delivery. The position supports sustainment activities including system change requests (SCRs), configuration management, systems engineering, and validation testing. Ideal candidates bring hands-on testing experience, attention to detail, and a passion for quality assurance. Responsibilities • Execute automated and manual test scripts to validate software changes • Document test results and track defects using designated tools • Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint planning to align testing with development • Support regression, functional, and performance testing activities • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to ensure test coverage • Maintain and update test cases and scripts as system functionality evolves • Support validation testing for system change requests and configuration management • Ensure test traceability and coverage throughout the software delivery lifecycle • Support service level management and quality assurance processes Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field • 4-6 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance • Experience executing automated test scripts and documenting results • Familiarity with test tools such as Selenium, JUnit, HP ALM, or similar • Understanding of Agile testing methodologies and defect tracking systems • Ability to follow standardized testing procedures and document outcomes • Active DoD Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one Nice-to-haves • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and ITIL v4 best practices • Experience testing Oracle EBS or other ERP systems • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices • Familiarity with GitLab, Jenkins, or similar automation tools • Experience with performance and regression testing • Exposure to DoD cybersecurity standards and STIG compliance • Experience supporting sustainment teams and configuration management processes Benefits • Competitive compensation package • Exceptional benefits that protect the well-being of employees and their families • Family atmosphere with a commitment to operational excellence Apply tot his job
