Avid MAM Media Migration Specialist
Job Title: Avid MAM Media Migration Specialist (AWS S3 / GCS) – Remote Location: Remote (UK / Europe) Employment Type: Contract or Permanent Job Description We are looking for an experienced Avid MAM Media Migration Specialist to support a large-scale media and metadata migration programme for a leading broadcast organisation. The role involves preparing, migrating, and validating media assets and metadata from Avid MAM into modern, cloud-based ingestion and archive platforms. This is a hands-on migration role, not a broadcast operations or QC-only position. Key Responsibilities Source Data Preparation • Export and prepare media assets and associated metadata from Avid MAM for migration • Organise and validate source data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness Metadata Migration • Extract, enrich, normalise, and validate metadata from Avid MAM systems • Ensure correct linkage between media assets, assignments, and metadata objects • Prepare metadata for downstream ingestion workflows Media Migration • Execute media migration workflows from AWS S3 archives to cloud processing environments • Validate transfers, perform integrity checks, and troubleshoot migration issues Cloud Integration • Support ingestion workflows to process assets, generate proxies, and archive content into Google Cloud Storage (GCS) • Collaborate with platform, engineering, and broadcast stakeholders to ensure seamless integration Mandatory Skills & Experience • Strong hands-on experience with Avid MAM (Media Asset Management) • Proven experience in media and metadata migration projects • Hands-on exposure to AWS S3 and cloud-based migration workflows • Experience with metadata extraction, validation, and normalisation • Ability to design and execute scalable and reliable migration workflows Preferred / Nice to Have • Background in media & broadcast technology environments • Experience with Mimir ingestion pipelines • Familiarity with Google Cloud Storage (GCS) • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Ability to work effectively in fully remote, cross-functional teams Eligibility • Candidates must be based in UK or Europe (Germany / Poland / Sweden / France / Netherlands) • Must have a valid right to work in the respective country • Remote role
