Summary: The Associate Vice President (AVP), Medical Device Advisory Services leads supplier and category strategy across the medical device portfolio within our healthcare spend management company. This senior role drives value creation through strategic supplier partnerships, portfolio optimization, and data-driven insights that enhance clinical and financial outcomes for member health systems. You will collaborate with sourcing, contracting, analytics, and clinical teams to develop innovative supplier strategies, manage key relationships, and ensure alignment between supplier performance and member priorities. Duties and Responsibilities: • Lead category strategy and supplier relationship management for key medical device segments (e.g., surgical, cardiovascular, orthopedics). • Partner with suppliers to deliver innovation, cost optimization, and value-based solutions. • Support contracting and sourcing teams with market intelligence, supplier analytics, and performance insights. • Align supplier initiatives with member needs, clinical advisory input, and portfolio standardization goals. • Represent the Ovation – Spend Management at supplier meetings and industry forums, serving as a thought leader on medical device strategy and innovation. • Participate in prospective member (sales) presentations as needed • Participate in Client Engagement meetings and executive business reviews as needed • Provide guidance to Ovation development team in terms of maintaining a robust medical device database that provides hospitals with actionable insights • Partner with analytics team to develop client-facing dashboards on the Ovation Insights portal • Provide cost per case analysis / guidance to member hospitals Work Experience, Education, and Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Supply Chain, Healthcare Administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred. • 10+ years of experience in medical device supplier strategy, sourcing, or healthcare supply chain leadership. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Strong negotiation, relationship management, and analytical skills. • Proven success developing and executing supplier or category strategies in a GPO, health system, or medical device company. WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • Reliable high-speed internet connection is required for all remote/hybrid positions. • Must have access to stable Wi-Fi with sufficient bandwidth to support video conferencing, cloud-based tools, and other online work-related activities. • A HIPAA-compliant work environment is required, including a secure workspace free from unauthorized access or interruptions, no use of public Wi-Fi unless connected through a secure company-provided VPN, and #LI-Remote Apply tot his job
