Billing Assistant (Remote - Part-time)

New Jersey Billing Solutions is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Billing Assistant to join our growing team. This is a remote, part-time position with a consistent weekday schedule. The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that supports healthcare providers across New Jersey and beyond. **Applicants must reside in New Jersey or the surrounding Tri-State Area. (This includes applicants from New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Connecticut.)** Key Responsibilities: • Complete insurance verifications for new and returning patients • Collect copayments and maintain accurate payment records • Prepare insurance claims accurately for review and submission by the Account Manager • Communicate professionally with insurance companies as needed • Maintain up-to-date documentation and records in our billing software Qualifications: • Prior experience with medical billing or insurance verification strongly preferred • Familiarity with commercial and Medicaid insurance plans is a plus • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills • Comfortable with spreadsheets, electronic systems, and online payer portals • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently in a remote setting • Must be available during Monday–Thursday, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM (EST) What We Offer: • Consistent part-time hours with room for growth • Remote work environment • Supportive team and structured training • Opportunities to grow within the company, including the potential to become an Account Manager if desired • Starting pay: $19.50/hour About Us: New Jersey Billing Solutions partners with healthcare practices to streamline their administrative and billing operations.
