Biostatistician - Contract (Remote - Virginia)

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Biostatistician - Contract in Virginia (USA). This role provides critical statistical support for life science projects, including clinical trials in the in-vitro diagnostic, medical device, and pharmaceutical sectors. The Biostatistician will contribute to study design, sample size determination, statistical analysis planning, and data review, ensuring accurate and compliant results. You will prepare tables, listings, and figures for final study reports and maintain detailed documentation for regulatory and client use. This position requires strong SAS programming skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project teams. Accountabilities · Plan and review project protocols, case report forms, and statistical analysis plans (SAP). · Conduct sample size calculations and define programming plans, including analysis dataset specifications. · Review datasets and perform statistical analyses according to SAP, incorporating client modifications as needed. · Prepare and finalize tables, listings, and figures for inclusion in Clinical Study Reports (CSR) and all associated project documentation. · Archive project documentation accurately and maintain detailed logs. · Perform additional project-related tasks as assigned within the scope of the project’s Statement of Work. · Master’s degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related field. · Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in biostatistics for clinical trials, ideally in IVD, medical device, or pharmaceutical projects. · Proficiency in SAS programming and statistical analysis. · Solid understanding of clinical trial data, regulatory standards, and industry best practices. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills. · Strong teamwork abilities and ability to work effectively with cross-functional project teams. · Contract position with competitive compensation. · Remote work flexibility depending on project requirements. · Exposure to cutting-edge clinical trials and life science research projects. · Opportunity to collaborate with experienced teams across clinical, regulatory, and quality functions. · Professional development opportunities in statistical analysis and clinical research methodologies.
