Brand Strategist (Marketing Designer & Content Strategist) (Contract)
Role Overview: We are seeking a Brand Strategist to be the face of our business for customer accounts across our web design and branding services. This role blends visual design strategy and content strategy - owning the development of all branding and website materials for our customers, from concept to delivery. You are equally comfortable writing persuasive copy, architecting a customer website, and helping a customer land on the most appropriate look, feel, voice and tone for their brand. In this role, you will work with small business owners one on one to guide them on effective branding for their business, including rebranding or branding a business from scratch. You will work with our design resources to provide our customers with any graphic assets needed to support their business including logos, cover photos, brand guidelines, and other deliverables and assets as needed. Finally, you will lead web design projects for our customers, working closely with both the customer and our internal teams to deliver fully custom small business websites from the ground up. You will lean on AI tools to assist in the development of website copy. An ideal candidate will be process-oriented, creative, communicate well with customers and teammates, and have experience working with service businesses. This is a contract position with an expected workload of 20 or more hours per week of work. This position is remote. Please include your portfolio with your application. Responsibilities: • Work directly with our small business customers, guiding them on and executing their brand strategy including a brand guideline deliverable, web design, and other graphic assets. • Work with our web and SEO teams to oversee website design projects from start to finish, including web content strategy. At least 50% of the work in this role is going to pertain to the architecture of the website, layout, and copy of the site. • Work with our design partners to manage projects and deliverables, typically handling up to 15 concurrent projects at a time. Skills Needed: • 3+ years of branding and web experience preferably with experience with local businesses. • Comfort working with common CMS platforms such as Wordpress, Squarespace, and Wix. • Demonstrated ability to meet customer goals and needs through digital marketing initiatives.
