Business Development Manager, Office Coffee & Supply/Specialty Retail (Away from Home Sales Team)
About the position The Business Development Manager for Office Coffee & Supply/Specialty Retail is responsible for developing and executing the snacking strategy for Unattended Retail channels, including Vending and Specialty Retail. This role aims to achieve annual volume and profit goals while supporting the overall fiscal plans of the Away From Home Strategic Business Area. The position requires strategic customer targeting, managing broker relationships, and collaborating with various teams to create profitable business opportunities. Responsibilities • Develop & execute snacking strategy for Unattended Retail, Specialty Retail, and Vending Channels. • Ensure achievement of fiscal year plan. • Strategic customer targeting and development of action plans. • Report progress vs. plan and adjust to business outages. • Develop and execute national sales initiatives for strategic product categories. • Support SBA's CRM (Salesforce.com) efforts. • Work with Revenue Growth Management and Marketing teams to create profitable new business opportunities. • Operate within budget and effectively manage company resources. • Support the Non-Commercial Selling team in setting the snacking strategy. • Manage broker relationships and train, mentor, and support broker performance. • Develop annual key performance indicators and measure broker performance objectives. • Conduct semi-annual performance reviews with brokers. • Direct sales responsibilities with key national operators in Unattended Retail Channels. • Develop and execute annual Joint Business Plans with each key account. • Collaborate with broker sales team to execute initiatives with key accounts. Requirements • Bachelor's degree • Minimum of 5 years of previous sales experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods and Away From Home food and/or beverage sales • Broker management experience • Ability to convert data and observations to insights for opportunity development • Proven experience selling/maintaining major customers • CRM software experience • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) • Ability to travel roughly 50% of work schedule Nice-to-haves • 4-7 years of experience in Small Format/Unattended Retail Channels • Coffee industry experience • Understanding of Away From Home (AFH) Supply Chain • Experience in creating business plans and sales initiatives • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills Benefits • Total Rewards benefits program • Continuous opportunities to learn, grow and develop • Support for physical, emotional, and financial needs • Inclusive and diverse workplace initiatives Apply tot his job
