Business Development Representative
Ontra is a leader in AI-powered solutions for the private markets, and they are seeking a Business Development Representative to help build a career in sales within their organization. The role involves supporting lead generation, conducting cold outreach, managing sales operations, and ensuring data accuracy in Salesforce. Responsibilities Support lead generation by conducting research and helping the Sales team curate prospect lists Make 30 calls and send 50 emails per day in order to hit a goal of booking 10 meetings per month Manage calendars, external resources, and efficiency tools to coordinate meetings, pitch activities, and conduct outbound campaigns Help prepare for meetings and sales pitches with net-new prospects and current customers by preparing debriefs, write-ups, and other materials as needed Execute sales outreach, support Account Directors and Account Executives in meetings, and manage follow-up activity to ensure smooth and consistent communication with prospects Ensure data accuracy by entering new sales data, and by maintaining and updating Salesforce Manage key action items and ad hoc requests for business development needs Skills 1+ year of experience conducting cold calls and sending cold emails (or other written outreach); experience within a global technology company preferred You consistently strive for and exceed sales targets; there is no goal too large and no client too complex for you You enjoy learning new skills and have experience adapting to new platforms quickly; experience with Excel, Salesforce, and Outreach a plus You are comfortable communicating to a wide range of audiences with clear, concise, and compelling language You are process-oriented and enjoy creating and maintaining systems upon which others rely You have excellent time-management skills, can prioritize tasks appropriately, and work to streamline processes You are a stickler for punctuation and grammar and consider yourself a go-to proofreading resource You have the desire and ability to rapidly learn about new industries and the pain points of our target customers Experience within a global technology company preferred Experience with Excel, Salesforce, and Outreach a plus Benefits Remote-first working policy, with office hubs in SF, NYC, Santa Barbara, and London Twice yearly team offsites for in-person collaboration Paid flexible time off policy Paid parental leave and benefits Employer-supported retirement contributions, varying by country Monthly phone and internet reimbursement Company-sponsored LinkedIn Learning accounts, department budgets for professional development, and robust onboarding program Various options for medical, dental, and vision insurance Company Overview Ontra automates legal workflows with AI for contract and compliance management.
