BUSINESS TAXES SPECIALIST I, BOARD OF EQUALIZATION
The California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) is seeking a Business Taxes Specialist I to conduct complex licensing inspections and monitor compliance. The role involves preparing inspection reports, conducting field observations, and coordinating with other governmental agencies. Responsibilities Independently conducts the most difficult and complex licensing inspections Issues non-compliance citations Monitors and follows courtroom disposition of citations issued Conducts administrative seizures Appears in court proceedings Prepares appropriate inspection and seizure reports Conducts field observations Assists in identifying interrelated fraud schemes Coordinates efforts with other governmental agencies Skills Ability to transport materials (including cannabis and tobacco products) weighing up to fifty (50) pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation Work long and irregular hours, both in and out of the office and in various locations in an assigned area May work in a high-rise building Exposure to cannabis, nicotine, and other related products deemed potentially hazardous Position requires employee to be fingerprinted and successfully pass a background investigation Travel is required up to fifty percent (50%) of the time To perform the essential duties of the position with the Inspections Bureau, staff must complete and pass PC 832 training.
