The Role The Central Sales Manager will be responsible for responding to leads at multiple Select Service & Full-Service properties daily. They will assist a team of Lead Specialists to deliver strong performance in reactive group support and transient RFP execution. The Central Sales Manager must be able to coach team members and ensure high performance. This person will be responsible for managing a team and hotels across the Americas. The Central Sales Manager would be someone who has demonstrated, through performance, a thorough understanding and competence in Group & Transient sales, Hyatt systems and the hotel/business travel industry. They will have thorough experience with professional selling skills: opening, probing, supporting, closing. Must possess exceptional negotiating skills. Must be proficient in general computer knowledge and able to train and monitor the process of sending referrals, setting traces and profiling accounts. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint and be capable of creating documents, working charts, and spreadsheets. Communication and organizational skills are of utmost importance for this position. Qualifications Experience Required: • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment • Refined verbal and written communication skills • Strong organization and presentation skills • Must be able to work independently and simultaneously manage multiple tasks • Must be outgoing and a proven self-starter • A minimum of 3-5 years of hotel sales or comparable experience preferred • Must be proficient in general computer knowledge, Envision, Opera, and Cvent • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint and be capable of creating documents, working charts, and spreadsheet. Experience Preferred: · Bachelor’s degree · Previous Hyatt Group Selling experience · Experience working with Transient RFP Process & Cvent Transient · Previous managerial experience The position responsibilities outlined above are in no way to be construed as all encompassing. This position is also eligible for an annual bonus. The final pay rate/salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work.
