Job Title: Certified Medical Coders - (Outpatient & ED) Location: Brooklyn, 11203 NY Duration: 3 Months (Strong possibilities of extension) Schedule: 8a – 4p (The weekend schedule will be part of their work week; Ex. Tuesday – Saturday, Sunday – Thursday, Saturday – Wednesday) Schedule Notes: • This position requires weekend schedule. Duties: • Medical coding in an acute care setting; must possess proficient computer skills (e.g., MS Word, Excel, ICD 9 CM, CPT 4, Encoder); knowledge of coding guidelines, payor guidelines, federal billing guidelines; knowledge of anatomy, physiology & disease processes; ability to research coding related issues; competence in coder training; must have CCS and knowledgeable with 3M/HDS coding application. • Inpatient and ED experience. Skills: • Three years’ experience Knowledge of ICD10. Education: • High School Diploma/GED, AHIMA, RHIA or RHIT and/or CCP, CCS.
