Chief Operating Officer – Cybersecurity Firm
Job Description: • Turn strategy and bookings into predictable, profitable, audit‑ready outcomes. • Lead service delivery, service management, customer success, partner delivery, and continuous improvement. • Embed CMMC into every engagement and scale repeatable delivery models for the DIB. • End‑to‑end ownership of Managed Services, Professional Services/Project Delivery, Customer Success, and Service Operations. • Standardize delivery for enablement (fixed price) and managed services (CMMC/security) with playbooks/runbooks, SLAs/OLAs, and quality gates. • Operate Microsoft GCC High Licensing onboarding, lifecycle, and support aligned to compliance requirements. • Bake NIST/CMMC controls into workflows, evidence capture, continuous monitoring, and audit readiness. • Build repeatable DIB‑ready patterns that protect CUI and reduce time‑to‑audit‑ready. • Own services P&L drive utilization, capacity, forecasting, backlog burn‑down, and gross‑margin improvement. • Automate with RMM and API‑driven runbooks to reduce cost‑to‑serve and increase quality. • Executive sponsor for strategic accounts; lead major incidents; maintain top‑quartile CSAT and retention. • Govern delivery of Complementary Partner Services (vendor oversight, joint SLAs, security posture). • Co‑own “Revenue Quality” with the CRO: ensure sold work matches delivery capacity, margin, compliance, and risk profile. • Define and enforce Sales→Delivery handoffs (deal desk, SOW standards, kickoff, success criteria). • Provide delivery insights to marketing/product marketing (case studies, proof points, offers). Requirements: • 10+ years in technology delivery with 5+ in senior operations leadership (VP/Head/COO) in an MSP/SI • Deep Microsoft expertise (Azure, Microsoft 365, security) and experience operating Microsoft GCC/GCC High or regulated environments • Proven CMMC/NIST operationalization (controls, evidence, audit readiness) • MSP billing understanding (PSA, Microsoft NCE) and automation platforms (RMM, API integrators such as n8n, Rewst) • Strong ITIL/service‑management background; demonstrated P&L, capacity, utilization, and margin management • Excellence in building leaders, resolving escalations, and scaling processes • Education: College degree preferred, not required. • Preferred Experience running licensing onboarding/support operations; partner co‑delivery governance. • Automation mindset (runbooks, evidence automation, telemetry/ops analytics) Benefits: • Competitive executive compensation (base + performance bonus + stock options after the first year) • Comprehensive benefits (medical, retirement, PTO, professional development) • Mission‑driven work that directly strengthens the national security supply chain Apply tot his job
