You will be responsible for building and leading a high-performing team of technology professionals who are passionate about innovation and excellence. This team will be tasked with developing advanced technologies that enhance product offerings and improve operational efficiencies across the organization. Your leadership will empower the team to explore new ideas, experiment with emerging technologies, and implement solutions that drive significant business value. You will report directly to our Chief Technology Officer of Industrial Automation (IA) and will work out of our Houston, TX location on a hybrid work schedule. Responsibilities • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the engineering function, ensuring alignment with business objectives. • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive innovation and achieve business objectives. • Manage and optimize engineering resources, budgets, and timelines to enhance efficiency and productivity. • Lead and develop a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Requirements • 10+ years of experience in technology and product development. • Strong engineering product development practices, processes, and tools. • Demonstrated capability to manage global and complex cross-functional business structures. • Experience in managing technology budgets and resource allocation. • Proficiency in emerging technologies and their application in product development. Nice-to-haves • Bachelor's degree related to technology and/or engineering. • Exceptional leadership and strategic thinking abilities. • Ability to drive on-time delivery of high-impact new product introductions. • Strong understanding of engineering principles, technology trends, and product development processes. • Ability to manage, influence, and negotiate with multiple key stakeholders and executives. • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment.
