Civil Engineer PE – On-Site Role in Maryville, TN (No Remote)

We are seeking a driven Civil Engineer who currently holds an active Professional Engineer (PE) license for a • full-time, on-site position in Maryville, Tennessee • This role is not remote or hybrid. This position offers the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility in the design and delivery of civil engineering projects while working alongside a team of experienced professionals in a collaborative, in-office environment. The Civil Engineer will report directly to the Executive Vice President of Design. • Applicants must currently live within commuting distance of Maryville, TN or be willing to relocate prior to the start date at their own expense. • Key Responsibilities • Lead and assist in the design of civil engineering projects, including : o Land development and site design o Transportation and roadway improvements o Stormwater management and utility infrastructure • Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and technical reports. • Perform advanced engineering calculations and cost estimates. • Utilize design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and other modeling tools. • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards. • Participate in project planning, scheduling, and quality control. • Prepare to mentor other staff and contribute to team development as experience grows. • Qualifications • Education : Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution. • Certification : PE required. • Experience : 8-12 years of civil engineering design experience in a consulting or professional services environment. • Technical Skills : Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D; familiarity with hydrology / hydraulic modeling software and GIS tools is a plus. • Soft Skills : Strong communication, leadership potential, and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. • Preferred Experience o Experience with municipal, transportation, or land development projects. o Knowledge of local, state, and federal permitting processes. • Compensation & Benefits Salary : $105,000-$130,000 range; paid weekly. • Bonus program for each design employee : o 10% of the mark-up of employee’s actual billed hours for the previous month (payable on the second payroll cycle of the following month) • End of Year Holiday Bonus. ($250 years 1-2. $500 years 3-4. $1000 years 5-6. $1500 years 7+) • 401(k) with a company match up to 4% of monetary compensation. (Value of benefit estimated at $X in year 1.) • Company Sponsored Health-Care Plan. (Company covers 30% of monthly premium.
