General summary: The Clinical Informaticist I plays a critical role in analyzing and enhancing workflows, data collection, and reporting for clinical operations, specifically with the EHR software and other digital platforms used within the organization. Under close supervision, this role assists in the design, testing, and validation of electronic health record (EHR) systems and collaborates with clinical and technical teams to develop solutions that improve patient care and operational efficiency. The Clinical Informaticist I works closely with leadership to optimize workflows that enable efficient access to and retrieval of clinical data. Duties and Responsibilities: This position supports clinical end-users by streamlining and standardizing workflows while identifying new processes to enhance efficiency. The role requires understanding the specific needs of clinical staff and developing solutions that optimize patient care and user experiences in all settings. Additionally, the Clinical Informaticist I helps ensure the security of EMR system configurations and assists in testing and validating new software releases to ensure they meet the needs of end-users and patients. The Clinical Informaticist I also works with leadership to develop, optimize, and implement workflows that support the efficient management of clinical data. This role ensures that the EMR system’s information is accurately managed, securely stored, and accessible to staff to improve patient care. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as required to support the organization's goals. EDUCATION • Bachelor's degree in a clinical field (e.g., Nursing, Allied Health) CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES • Clinical: Registered Nurse (RN) • If certification is required it must be maintained Epic/Onbase WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • Primarily office-based with a typical business setting. This role may involve collaboration in virtual settings and participation in team meetings. • Ability to sit for extended periods at a desk and work on a computer. • Occasional standing, walking, and lifting of up to 15 pounds. • Reliable high-speed internet connection is required for all remote/hybrid positions. • Must have access to stable Wi-Fi with sufficient bandwidth to support video conferencing, cloud-based tools, and other online work-related activities. • A HIPAA-compliant work environment is required, including a secure workspace free from unauthorized access or interruptions, no use of public Wi-Fi unless connected through a secure company-provided VPN, and compliance with all applicable HIPAA privacy and security regulations.
