About the position The Clinical Informatics Supervisor at Scripps Health is responsible for overseeing clinical informatics nurses and ensuring that clinical applications meet the needs of acute care sites. This role involves consulting with business units to identify workflow and data requirements, facilitating solution designs, and establishing education strategies for staff and physicians. The position is a full-time role with a focus on operational management and quality control, contributing to performance evaluations and hiring decisions. Responsibilities • Utilize operations and clinical knowledge to consult with the business to identify workflow, data, and application requirements. • Work with integrated development resources to generate documentation and facilitate solution designs, ensuring solutions meet customer needs. • Facilitate identification of best practices and make recommendations for standardization. • Assist in establishing education strategies for staff and physicians. • Build and maintain clinical applications as needed. • Provide operations management support to department leadership, including timekeeping and quality control/reporting. • Contribute to performance evaluations and hiring decisions. • Oversee 5 clinical informatics nurses that support acute care sites and care lines across Scripps. Requirements • Two years of nursing experience or medical informatics. • Current CA RN license or graduate of an accredited medical school with an MD or DO degree specific to applications supported. • Good critical and analytical thinking skills. • Excellent customer service skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Excellent organizational and presentation skills. Nice-to-haves • Lead small projects or technical activities. • Informatics certification. • Bachelor's degree.
