Additional Information About the Role BJC is looking for a Clinical Program Manager to help with the growth of the Cancer Screening Program and Prevention across BJC & Siteman Cancer Center! • Health care experience required • Mainly remote position with occasional onsite meetings Overview Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is the largest hospital in Missouri and is ranked as one of the nation's top hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. Barnes-Jewish Hospital's staff is composed of full-time academic faculty and community physicians of Washington University School of Medicine, supported by a house staff of residents, interns, fellows and other medical professionals. Recognizing its excellence in nursing care, Barnes-Jewish Hospital was the first adult hospital in Missouri to be certified as a Magnet Hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. The Joanne Knight Breast Health Center/Mary Lee Hermann Breast Imaging Suite at Barnes Jewish Hospital and the Alvin C. Siteman Cancer Center provides state of the art Breast Health Services to the entire catchment area served by the Siteman Cancer Center. Asymptomatic women aged 40 + receive screening services. Women and men of any age receive diagnostic workups for breast abnormalities and problems. Services provided include full field digital screening mammograms and diagnostic mammograms, breast ultrasounds, minimally invasive core biospy (done by ultrasound or stereotaxis), cyst arpiration and breast. needle localizations. All examinations are performed by Certified Radiologic Technologists who are Registered in Mammography by the ARRT. Examinations and special procedures are interpreted and performed by dedicated Breast Imaging Radiologists of the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology. We collaborate closely with the Breast Surgery practice of the Washington University School of Medicine. Our Outreach Program, one of the largest Missouri, offers breast health services to underserved, uninsured low income persons. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Provides ongoing program management of the department/programs across all geographic locations in the region. Coordinates development and implementation of strategic plans working closely with hospital(s) administration and physician leadership. Responsibilities Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.Ensures, through direction and coordination of activities, the goals and strategies of the strategic plans are developed, prioritized and implemented in collaboration with WUSM physician leaders/business directors and hospital administration. Manages joint WUSM & hospital comprehensive infrastructure, steering committees, implementation committees and subcommittees in collaboration with the WUSM physician leaders/medical directors and hospital directors/vice presidents for the purpose of addressing inpatient and outpatient services; policies, procedures and treatment protocols; supply chain; clinical outcomes; patient experience; growth and capacity planning; and financial performance.Leads and manages new initiatives and implementation of evidence based practice. Develops continuing alliances and communication with peer institutions. Foster relationships and collaboration amongst all key stakeholders (Clinical/non-clinical).Develops/executes improvement programs using solid data/analytics and lean methodologies that directly impact key metrics related to people, service, growth/innovation, quality and margin. Monitors and develops program contracts and scorecards to support analysis for use in mission support agreements, medical directorships, physician co-management, operational excellence and performance/care improvement.Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations.
