Clinical Research and Data Coordinator

People Science is looking for a Clinical Research and Data Coordinator to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of a small team who is looking to empower humanity with the tools and knowledge of science and medicine to improve ourselves, our communities, and our world by making research tools accessible and understandable. The People Science proprietary technology, Chloe (Consumer Health Learning & Organizing Ecosystem), is a consumer-friendly mobile app on the frontend, and a modular and configurable clinical research data management tool on the backend. It is designed for the purpose of engaging individual participants in the clinical research process from the comfort of their home by using their personal devices through active and passive data collection. Job Summary The Clinical Research and Data Coordinator will play a dual role in supporting both data management and clinical coordination for our People Science research studies. You will be responsible for building and maintaining studies in our proprietary Chloe Platform, managing clinical data, ensuring data quality, and providing clinical operations support across trial phases. Your unique experience as a CRC will ensure protocol adherence, regulatory compliance, and participant engagement in a virtual environment. What You'll Be Doing Data Management • Build, configure, and maintain study databases in the Chloe Platform • Perform ongoing data cleaning, validation, and quality checks • Monitor incoming data for completeness and accuracy • Generate queries and work with study team to resolve data discrepancies • Develop and maintain data management plans (DMPs), Complete User Acceptance Testing, Edit Check Specifications, and CRFs • Implement mid-study changes and database updates as needed Clinical Research Coordination • Serve as a CRC for assigned studies which includes participant management, screening, and enrolling eligible participants remotely • Provide ongoing communication and support to participants throughout the study • Ensure participant compliance with study protocols, including study product adherence, visit schedules, and activity completion • Monitor and address any adverse events (AEs) or serious adverse events (SAEs) in accordance with protocol and regulatory requirements • Coordinate remote data collection and participant follow-ups • Ensure protocol compliance and accurate documentation of study activities • Communicate with study participants, investigators, and vendors to support study success Cross-Functional Collaboration • Liaise between clinical operations, technology, and data teams to ensure seamless integration of workflows • Create study-specific processes within the Chloe Platform and train the Clinical Operations team accordingly • Contribute to continuous improvement of Chloe Platform procedures, tools, and best practices What You'll Bring Requirements and Skills • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, data sciences, health sciences, or related field or equivalent work experience • 3+ years of experience in clinical research, including at least 1–2 years as a CRC • 2+ years of experience in clinical data management, ideally in decentralized studies • Hands-on experience using clinical trial management systems (CTMS), EDC, or DCT platforms • Knowledge of GCP, FDA regulations, and ICH guidelines • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment Preferred Skill • Experience with decentralized and virtual study tools (eConsent, ePRO, eSource) • Familiarity with agile development environments and user testing • Data visualization or analytics experience (e.g., Excel, Power BI, or similar tools) • VISA Sponsorship is NOT Available for this position. We are a remote-first team, primarily based in the Los Angeles area. This position is based in the Southern California area with some remote work days. Salary will depend on various factors including applicant's prior relevant job experience, skill set, and geographic location.
