Commercial General Liability & Auto Claims Adjuster-(Must have 7+ years experience)

PLEASE NOTE BEFORE APPLYING: The prerequisite for this employment opportunity requires a minimum of 8 years experience in Complex Commercial General Liability Claims and COMMERCIAL AUTO (not non-standard or personal) Must have at least one active State Adjuster's License. We are currently seeking a skilled professional to adjust claims for our Specialty Insurance Programs and Group Captives including Commercial Auto and General Liability claims. PRIMARY PURPOSE: Investigate, evaluate and resolve commercial automobile and general liability claims within authority. Includes the investigation and evaluation of coverage, liability and damages, and the setting of proper reserves in accordance with authority, and Best Practices. The ideal candidate will have proven complex claim experience in one or more of the following: Commercial Auto & Trucking Liability, General Liability claims, including premises liability claims, and construction related claims including worksite injuries, construction defect and risk transfer. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES: Exercises proper judgment and decision making to analyze the claims exposure, to determine the proper course of action and to appropriately settle the claim. · Oversee the handling of all aspects of the claims assigned within authority, including investigation, reserving, documentation, evaluation, negotiation and settlement. · Experience and skills to manage complex litigation and coverage questions with multi-state experience. · Work with clients and carrier partners in a team approach to achieve best possible outcomes within authority and reporting requirements. · Ensures claim processing is consistent with applicable policies, procedures and department guidelines. · Ability to recognize coverage issues as they arise and promptly interpret policy language. · Proactive claim handling and consistent documentation of agreed upon action plans and strategy. · Meet claim handling quality and service standards with timely reporting and presentation of claims to clients, carriers and reinsurers. · Other tasks as assigned by claims management QUALIFICATIONS: · Minimum experience of 8 years with ideal candidate having 10 years or more claims experience in the lines of business noted above. · Self-starter and the ability to work independently consistent with experience level, with little supervision and direction. · Thorough understanding of state laws, principles of coverage, liability and insurance industry in general. · Effective communication and negotiation skills. · Strong investigative skills and ability to obtain information and effectively deliver information to others verbally and in writing. · Multiple state adjuster licensing preferred or the ability to obtain additional licenses in the states required We offer comprehensive compensation, performance bonus and benefits package.
