About the position The Community Planner position will provide environmental planning expertise to assist and lead in brownfield and contaminated site redevelopment activities. Responsibilities • Participate and/or lead planning activities related to redevelopment initiatives • Collaborate with staff, agencies, clients, and other project collaborators to facilitate project submittals and schedules • Oversee multiple brownfield planning projects simultaneously for public and private sector clients • Work on sites with complex technical and regulatory issues • Assist with environmental site assessments • Lead community planning initiatives and public outreach and engagement • Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work and meetings • Support, actively participate, and act in accordance with Wright’s and Eocene Environmental Group's culture of safety and employee ownership • Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations; maintains knowledge of and follows all company policies and procedures Requirements • B.S. degree (M.S. preferred) in environmental planning and/or a closely related discipline • Minimum of 2 years’ experience with community planning projects • Familiarity with ESRI GIS applications (including desktop, ArcGIS, Collector, Survey123, etc.) • Ability to perform work duties independently and efficiently with short deadlines • Highly organized, motivated, thorough, accurate, dependable, and trustworthy • Ability to interact and coordinate with state, federal, local, and tribal agencies • Excellent note-taking ability • Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with employees and vendors Nice-to-haves • AICP Certified Preferred • 5 years' experience with community planning projects • Experience working with or for federal, state, or local agencies is a plus • Strong writing and editing skills • Familiarity with typical utility operations and maintenance activities • Excellent navigation skills and good driving record Apply tot his job
