CGI Federal is seeking a Conceptual Data Modeler within their Intel sector to advance the national security mission through innovative technology. The role involves creating high-level diagrams of data, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring data models align with business objectives to promote data integrity and consistency. Responsibilities Business Requirement Translation: Work with business analysts and stakeholders to understand complex business requirements and translate them into a high-level data model view Conceptual Model Development: Create conceptual data models that identify and define the main data entities (e.g., customers, products) and the relationships between them, without getting into specific technical details Strategic Alignment: Ensure that the data models align with the organization's overall business strategy and objectives, providing a clear picture of the data landscape Stakeholder Communication: Communicate the conceptual data model to various teams, including business and technical staff, ensuring a common understanding of the data structure Data Governance Support: Contribute to data standardization and consistency by helping to define core data concepts, which aids in data governance and compliance efforts Model Maintenance: Maintain and update existing conceptual models to reflect changes in business processes or requirements Skills Bachelor's degree and/or 0 to 2 years of experience TS/SCI required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Poly highly desired Possess strong analytical skills to evaluate problems and develop appropriate data-related solutions Clearly articulate data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences Understand how data supports business functions and can translate business needs into data concepts Proficiency with data modeling tools and an understanding of conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling approaches Ability to work effectively with various teams, including data architects, business analysts, and developers Creative thinking to identify and resolve issues related to data structure and flow Bachelor's degree and/or 5 to 10 years of experience TS/SCI required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Poly highly desired Possess strong analytical skills to evaluate problems and develop appropriate data-related solutions Clearly articulate data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences Understand how data supports business functions and can translate business needs into data concepts Proficiency with data modeling tools and an understanding of conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling approaches Ability to work effectively with various teams, including data architects, business analysts, and developers Creative thinking to identify and resolve issues related to data structure and flow Benefits Competitive compensation Comprehensive insurance options Matching contributions through the 401(k) plan and the share purchase plan Paid time off for vacation, holidays, and sick time Paid parental leave Learning opportunities and tuition assistance Wellness and Well-being programs Company Overview CGI is an IT and business consulting services firm that offers consulting, cyber security, cloud, and IT services.
