The opportunity Do you have a passion for working with people, curating compelling content, and highlighting innovations in the software development lifecycle (SDLC)? Love learning about technology at a deep technical level and working with authors and other subject matter experts to help share their knowledge with others? TechnologyAdvice is looking for an editor to join our growing team! In this role, you’ll work with our team on technical site content, commercial content, and developer community initiatives with the goal of publishing high-quality, relevant content that will resonate with our thriving developer community. You will help prepare articles for publication, work directly with contributors to help them improve their articles, support research for commercial content, and assist in the execution of our top-level strategies. We focus on delivering high-quality technical content covering all aspects of the SDLC, so a basic- to intermediate-level understanding of software development topics, languages, and best practices (e.g.,Java, DevOps, Kubernetes, AI, web development technologies) is encouraged. Employment Level: Mid Level Employment Type: Full Time Location: Philippines Working Hours: 9pm to 6am PHT (APR-OCT) or 10pm to 7am PHT (NOV-MAR) What you'll do Select, copyedit, and prepare articles and commercial content for publication on the web Work directly with our contributors to help improve their articles from a writing and topical perspective Research trends in the SDLC and stay up to date with the latest innovations to provide thought-leading advice for articles, commercial content, and content strategies Review research findings/analyses for contextual coverage via a strategic research lens to ensure we provide our clients and audience with actionable software industry insights Monitor our support and editors inboxes, answer inquiries, delete spam, and escalate issues to appropriate departments Work with appropriate stakeholders to suggest articles and commercial or other community content to be featured in various newsletters Update the site pages daily with fresh content and build relationships with contributors Work with appropriate stakeholders to recommend contributors for community programs and premium product authorship Assist with other team projects and initiatives as needed Who you are Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Writing, or Publishing; a degree or experience in Software Engineering/Development is a plus. Minimum of 2 years in technical editing for web content or publishing, ideally within the technology sector. Basic knowledge of HTML is preferred. Passion for producing high-quality, actionable content with strong copyediting and proofreading skills. Deep understanding of American English spelling and grammar, with the ability to clearly express complex technical concepts. Strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to collaborate effectively with experienced software professionals. Excellent research and problem-solving abilities with a strong desire to learn and adapt quickly. Highly organized, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Exceptional time management and clear, consistent communication on project progress. Proven ability to work independently while thriving in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Salary Range We seek to hire top-tier individuals and intend for our compensation to be at a rate that allows us to recruit and retain individuals who align with our core values, purpose, mission, and vision.Final total compensation is based on a multitude of factors including, but not limited to, skill level, relevant experience to the position, and cost of labor.
