Contract Legal Counsel/Manager Location: California (Remote) Job Type: Contract (2 Months), Part-Time (20 Hours per week), Remote Compensation: $80–$90/hour LHH is working with a regional client in seeking a Contract Legal Counsel/Manager. In this role you will support the organization by reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a variety of vendor and third‑party agreements. This role ensures compliance with applicable laws, internal policies, and risk‑management standards while providing clear, business‑focused legal guidance to internal stakeholders. Candidates must reside in California. Responsibilities • Review, draft, and negotiate vendor and third‑party contracts to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal policy requirements. • Conduct legal research and analysis on regulatory requirements, data privacy, liability, indemnification, and related vendor‑management issues. • Identify legal risks and provide actionable mitigation strategies to internal business partners. • Advise internal stakeholders on contractual obligations, rights, and potential risk exposure. • Stay current on legal developments affecting vendor contracting, procurement, and operations. • Leverage DocuSign CLM/LSM to manage workflow, track revisions, maintain contract records, and support efficient routing and approvals. • Collaborate cross‑functionally with procurement, operations, compliance, and finance teams. • Support improvements to templates, playbooks, and internal contracting processes. Qualifications • Juris Doctor (JD) required. • Minimum of 1+ years of experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts. • Experience with DocuSign CLM/LSM or comparable contract lifecycle management systems. • Strong understanding of contract principles, risk allocation, indemnification, confidentiality, and data‑privacy considerations. • Excellent legal research, writing, and redlining skills. • Ability to provide concise, practical legal guidance to non‑legal stakeholders. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Healthcare experience preferred but not required. • Must reside in California.
