Creative YouTube & Social Video Editor (Remote, Contractor)
TheFutureSociety is a growing community and media platform focused on astrology, personal growth, and cosmic insights. ### We’re looking for a talented, fast, and creative video editor to help bring our YouTube and social content to life. You’ll work closely with our Head of Content to maintain a consistent aesthetic and produce videos that connect deeply with our community. What You’ll Do • Edit YouTube videos from raw footage • Create reels, shorts, and promotional videos • Pull highlights from livestreams • Add branded titles, subtitles, and overlays • Deliver fast, clean, polished edits • Maintain a consistent visual style across content • Collaborate closely with the Head of Content to plan and execute ideas Requirements • 3+ years of professional video editing experience • Strong portfolio showcasing storytelling, pacing, and editing skill • Ability to deliver fast turnarounds without sacrificing quality • Skilled in pacing, storytelling, and social media formatting • Reliable, communicative, and proactive • Comfortable working with livestream content and repurposing clips Compensation • $1,000/month for producing weekly social reels • Bonus: $125/week for completing all reels on time Reels & Workflow • Weekly deliverables: • 4 reels a week: • 3 repurposed from livestreams (tools: Descript or OpusClips) • 1 inspirational/culture reel • 1 astrology reel • 2 predictions recap/receipt videos • Opportunity to guide livestream content (ask Jimmy to say certain things for clips) • Some reels are straightforward, with minimal complexity How to Apply Send us: • Your portfolio of simmilar videos • Before/after samples • Your top editing tools • Reference reels: • • • • • • • We’re looking for someone creative, fast, and detail-oriented who can help us grow our brand across YouTube and social media.
