Logan Health has a noble and fulfilling career opportunity in crisis intervention. You would be working with a small and resourceful team of licensed professionals that enjoy resources and support from one of the Flathead Valley’s largest employers. The crisis intervention team provides mental health emergency/crisis intervention services, and disposition planning to area emergency rooms and acute patient settings. As an area leader in behavioral strategy, programs and outreach, we can provide you with a unique set of tools to care for our communities. Qualifications: Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Social Work or related counseling field from an accredited university, and two (2) years’ experience in co-occurring treatment programs or crisis intervention work required. LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT licensure in the state of Montana required. MMHP certification required. Current CPR certification and Aegis training must be successfully obtained within three (3) months of hire. Experience in crisis intervention, emergency assessment, knowledge of SDMI and SED populations and strategies and/or utilizing stage of change treatment interventions preferred. Possess knowledge of cultural, ethnic, social, historical and spiritual issues relevant to the provision of mental health treatment preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences. Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently. Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy. Job Specific Duties: Coordinates and collaborates with physicians, families, and legal system regarding emergency detention process. Assesses problems and determines appropriate levels and methods of intervention and implements a crisis plan, safety assessment and/or discharge plan. Assesses mental status, risk, and needs of person in crisis and implements treatment plan and interventions according to patient need. Identifies at risk patients, develops safety plans, and works with Physician/Providers and nursing staff to provide safe care and/or follow up. Communicates effectively with patients, family members and referral sources regarding patient interventions, progress and aftercare planning. Provides evaluation for involuntary treatment per legal Criteria of the State of Montana. Coordinates with county attorneys and psychiatry regarding involuntary process and planning. Performs care coordination services consistent with patient’s level of functioning and biopsychosocial needs. These include, but may not be limited to; treatment planning, coordinating care, ongoing safety risk assessment, assisting the patient in the development of an effective discharge plan, and collaborating with family and community providers. Maintains timely and accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, individual or family contacts, and all treatment activities per department protocol. Documents care provided according to regulatory and facility requirements. Provides triage coverage and assistance per department protocol. Performs utilization review and/or caring contacts, call backs, and discharge activity. The above essential functions are representative of major duties of positions in this job classification. Not all of the duties may be assigned to a position. Maintains regular and consistent attendance as scheduled by department leadership. Shift: Variable - 12 Hours (États-Unis d'Amérique) Schedule: PRN, Variable shifts. Shifts could be 10 or 12 hours in length or less than 10 hours on some days depending on need. Shifts may include days, evenings or weekends. Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed. PRN positions (also referred to as Casual, As Needed, or Per Diem) at Logan Health offer flexibility and are designed to provide coverage during busy periods, employee absences, and vacations, making them an excellent opportunity to support the team as needed. PRN employees can participate in a matching 401(k) plan and have access to the Employee Assistance Program. Additionally, they may qualify for hourly differential pay for certain shifts or hours, offering extra compensation based on department-specific scheduling needs. Pay rates and scheduling practices may vary by department.
