With a strong focus on customer satisfaction, we're constantly looking for ways to improve and exceed our customers' expectations. **Key Responsibilities** As a Customer Service Associate at blithequark, you'll be responsible for: * Engaging customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services * Resolving customer issues and answering questions to ensure a positive customer experience * Modeling and sharing customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience * Providing customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service * Recommending items for sale to customers and recommending trade-up and/or companion items * Registering customer purchases on assigned cash register, collecting cash and distributing change as requested * Keeping counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, taking inventory, and maintaining records * Implementing Company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss * Ensuring compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products * Constructing and maintaining displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise * Assisting with separation of food items and product placement as specified by policies/procedures * Providing customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print and creative machine, suggestive sell of promotional photo products * Assisting with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance * Complying with all company policies and procedures; maintaining respectful relationships with coworkers **Essential Qualifications** * Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico) * Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours **Preferred Qualifications** * Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment * Prefer to have prior work experience with blithequark **Skills and Competencies** * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations * Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills * Ability to work effectively in a team environment * Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register * Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time * Basic computer skills and knowledge of store systems and equipment **Training & Personal Development** * Attends training and completes PPLs requested by Manager or assigned by corporate * Opportunities for career growth and advancement within the company * Access to ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge **Work Environment & Company Culture** * blithequark is an equal opportunity employer, committed to creating a diverse and inclusive work environment * We offer a dynamic and supportive work environment, with opportunities for growth and development * Our company culture is built on a foundation of respect, empathy, and open communication **Compensation & Benefits** * Competitive hourly rate: $16.5 - $18 per hour * Opportunities for career growth and advancement within the company * Access to ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge * Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance * 401(k) retirement plan with company match * Paid time off and holidays * Employee discounts and perks **How to Apply** If you're passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences and making a lasting impact on people's lives, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity to join blithequark as a Customer Service Associate - Temporary.
