PPG is a leading company in the industrial and consumer products sectors, seeking a Customer Service Specialist to join their Aerospace team in Philadelphia. The role involves managing customer orders, ensuring timely communication, and collaborating with sales personnel to meet service objectives. Responsibilities Responsible for the timely and accurate order management of assigned international customer orders daily Communicates with the customer to establish overall customer status Spend time interacting with customers via inbound calls and email, entering orders, credits, debits, and returns Ensure a continuing flow of information to the customer on all aspects of their account including availability, order delivery, invoicing, and compliance Increase incremental volume and distribution efficiency by taking a pro-active sales initiative Collaborate with sales personnel to ensure that customer orders are shipped, and PPG service level objectives are met or exceeded Participate as a member of a self-directed work team in developing team goals that enhance service and look for ways to reduce cycle time Provide clear instructions to all shipping points to ensure customers and requirements are met. Resolve issues that may arise during the shipping process Provide complete and accurate invoicing instructions to satisfy the customer while adhering to internal administrative requirements Identifies the type, amount and required date of product ordered and coordinates with shipping to meet customer specific requirements Coordinates resolution of non-conforming products and issues Quotes prices using standard pricing information and customer specific pricing agreements Verify the vital information related to inventory Updates, maintains, or completes customer information and order status Ensures accuracy of all sales orders.
