About the position The CyberSecurity Engineer (Mid/Sr) position is focused on planning and operating security infrastructure and responses. The role requires strong operational experience with host-based security systems and network IDS/IPS systems, specifically with tools like FireEye and Cisco FIREPOWER. The position is remote, allowing candidates to work from anywhere in the continental USA, and is structured as a 1099/C2C engagement. Responsibilities • Plan and operate the security infrastructure and responses. • Manage host-based security infrastructure, including FireEye Endpoint HX, Cb App Control, MS Defender, and Symantec Endpoint Protection. • Administer network IDS/IPS systems, including FireEye NX and Cisco FIREPOWER appliances. • Oversee the administration of the CyberArk PAM solution. • Utilize FireEye Helix SIEM and Email Threat Protection (ETP) for security management. • Assist Helpdesk teams with triaging and troubleshooting security issues. Requirements • Demonstrated experience as a Cybersecurity Engineer or in a similar role. • Extensive knowledge of security protocols, cryptography, and security frameworks. • Significant experience in managing network IDS/IPS systems, including FireEye NX and Cisco FIREPOWER appliances. • Proficiency in managing host-based security infrastructure, such as FireEye Endpoint HX, Cb App Control, MS Defender, and Symantec Endpoint Protection. • Extensive experience in administering the CyberArk PAM solution. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Nice-to-haves • Experience with the administration of FireEye Helix SIEM, HX, and Email Threat Protection (ETP). • Proficient in using Splunk and the Splunk Search Language (SPL). • Skilled in navigating, configuring, and troubleshooting various platform components, including email, endpoints, cloud apps, and threat hunting. • Experience with the administration of Varonis DatAdvantage and Imperva. • Proficient in using Microsoft Intune and managing different device platforms, such as Windows, iOS, and macOS.
