How you'll make a difference: The Data Science Lead Analyst role is a crucial role to the development of evaluation processes of output extracted from unstructured data which will lead to the broadening of our product development space. As a strong individual contributor, the role will engage in product development efforts using best practices in web development. Responsibilities include setting up an internal web development framework that allows for the quick spin up of evaluation processes, this includes processes with varied requirements, and the maintenance of framework. This role will work closely with the internal Technology to make sure the framework adheres to security and practices of Forsyth Health. Role Summary: The Data Science Lead Analyst position is an opportunity for a data scientist/software engineer to strengthen web development workflows, establish crucial evaluation processes, and meaningfully impact the development of the Forsyth Enterprise Data Model. The job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: • Write, test, and deploy software applications that will help propel the evaluation of models created from unstructured data. • Collaborate with data engineers to understand back-end capabilities. • Work with other cross-functional teams to gather and refine requirements for various evaluation initiatives. • Efficiently query multiple data types (medical and pharmacy claims, EMR, lab, chargemaster) as needed to gain a deeper understanding of patient / clinical activity from Forsyth data to validate and further refine NLP/ML models and output. • Create and maintain technical documentation for full-stack development. Qualifications: • 3-5 years of experience in software engineering. Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. • Excellent programming skills in languages like JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, SQL, etc. • Advanced knowledge in web development tools such as React.js, Django, etc. • Experience with cloud computing platforms and development tools such as Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake, AWS, etc. • Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to compile and analyze information, ensure code quality and data integrity, and provide resolutions or recommendations for improving operational processes. • Excellent communication and presentation skills. • Desired: experience with NLP models and at least 1-2 years in healthcare data space. If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload. For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 89,700 - 149,500 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
