As a Data Scientist / Decision Scientist on our team, you'll have the opportunity to work with petabytes of data on Google Cloud Platform, developing and deploying advanced analytical models and machine learning algorithms that drive business impact. Key Responsibilities Develop, validate, and deliver algorithms, statistical models, and reporting tools that drive network strategy and design, improve network performance, and enhance provider engagement. Explore, examine, and interpret large volumes of structured and unstructured data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions. Design and implement data structures and pipelines to organize, collect, and standardize data, ensuring data integrity and quality. Utilize advanced statistical techniques, machine learning algorithms, and data visualization tools to analyze complex business problems and develop data-driven solutions. Present findings and recommendations to various stakeholders, including senior leadership, and communicate complex data insights in a clear and actionable manner. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs, develop solutions, and drive impact. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data science and analytics. Essential Qualifications 2+ years of experience in a Data Scientist or Decision Scientist role, with a strong background in analytics, statistics, and data science. 2+ years of experience programming in Python, with expertise in data manipulation using Pandas and other libraries. 2+ years of experience writing complex and efficient queries in SQL, with a strong understanding of database concepts and data modeling. 1+ year of experience working in Cloud platforms, such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Microsoft Azure. Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Physics, Engineering, or a related discipline. Preferred Qualifications Healthcare industry experience, with a deep understanding of health care systems, provider networks, and member engagement strategies. GCP work experience, with expertise in GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Dataflow. Software engineering experience, with a strong background in software development principles, design patterns, and testing methodologies. Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Data Science, Analytics, or Computer Science. Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess a combination of technical, business, and interpersonal skills. Some of the key skills and competencies we're looking for include: Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and develop data-driven solutions. Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and other relevant languages. Experience with machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and data visualization tools. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex data insights to various stakeholders. Collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Compensation and Benefits We're offering a competitive salary for this role, with a pay range of $64,890 - $173,040. In addition to your base salary, you'll be eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program.
